Vision Linens Advances Carbon Literacy Programme

To mark World Environment Day 2026, Vision Linens has highlighted the progress of its carbon literacy programme, developed in partnership with the Carbon Literacy Project, a UN-recognised Transformative Action Project (TAP).

The initiative forms part of the company’s wider commitment to tackling climate change and supporting its journey towards a zero-carbon future.

To date, 60 Vision Linens team members have completed carbon literacy training, with 55 already certified as Carbon Literate and a further five awaiting certification. The programme has also been extended to customers, with four customer representatives completing the training.

The company’s efforts have been recognised with an innovation award from Astore Procurement, while the programme’s impact across eight countries has also been acknowledged in the Carbon Literacy Project’s annual impact report.

Vision Linens says the momentum is continuing, with plans to roll out training to additional in-house teams, host a Carbon Literacy advocacy event in partnership with Pro-Manchester, and work towards achieving Silver Carbon Literate Organisation status through sector-specific training.

The company believes carbon literacy provides a practical framework for individuals and businesses to reduce their environmental impact and sees investment in employee education as a key element of reducing organisational carbon emissions across its operations.
