What a 10 years!

10 years for Acorns of Lancashire

Monday 21 November 2022 marked the 10th birthday for Acorns of Lancashire. And what a ride it has been! After only four years, Accrington’s only onsite drycleaners won the highly contested Drycleaner of the Year awards at the Laundry and Drycleaning Awards – the LADAs 2016.

Then in 2020, Acorns decided to enter the CINET global awards category for their business model and came a truly staggering 4th globally out of 120 entries. Considering that CINET represents over 750,000 companies and millions of employees worldwide it was a phenomenal achievement. Co-owner Cheryl Duffy said: “We could not have done this without the continued support of our loyal repeat customer base.

We would also like to thank our MP Sara Britcliffe, Miles Parkinson leader of the council and the HBC grants department for their continued support throughout covid lockdowns. Not least, we would also like to thank Judith Addison, mayor and Kathleen Pratt, deputy mayor at the time, for their continued support after officially opening our independent business 10 years ago.” Both co-owners, Brendan and Cheryl Duffy, state that it is has been extremely hard work to sustain a successful, multi-award winning business for 10 years. There has been a lot of blood, sweat and tears, but it has also been very rewarding by delivering our best service to our customers and supporting the local business community.

Congratulations on your milestone birthday from all the team at Laundry & Cleaning Today!
