WashCo connect with new laundry installs
During October WashCo had a big install at Cwm Taf University Hospital. It was quite literally big with the installation of a Primus 80kg, steam, heat tilted washer.
“We chose WashCo because they were flexible and could move quickly.
Even with the additional challenge of a steam washer, they were able to install over the weekend whilst the laundry was still in full operation,” says Catherine Pugh, deputy linen services manager at Cwm Taf University Hospital. WashCo connected the large washer to the steam system, modified the drains out to the cooling tank and replaced the drain and associated piping.
There was a lot to do but the installation team took the challenge and completed the whole install over the weekend, removing the old machine and allowing the team at Cwm Taf to continue to deliver a great service. In October WashCo also worked with Laundry Place who were installing their first wetcleaning washer and tumble dryer.
They chose the WashConnect system which uses IoT technology to give you full visibility and real-time validation of your laundry processes. “I chose WashConnect for several reasons. I liked the fact that I could see what was going on even when I wasn’t in the laundry and also that it is really easy to change and update programmes.
I just speak to WashCo and they can remotely send me a new programme,” says Andrew Keeble, Laundry Place’s owner. “It also gives me full flexibility with the option to, for example, move from a duvet to a wedding dress. And because it has a dynamic weighing system, it can easily cope with the variety of different load sizes which we have.” The install was also supported by Christeyns who trained the team on the chemical part of the laundry process.
