The Laundry and Drycleaning Awards, The LADAs 2020,
is going virtual this year.

In the October edition of Laundry and Cleaning Today, it was announced that the awards will have to go virtual. We’ve been planning the finer detail since, and the good news is we’re not restricted to numbers – so anyone in the industry can join us as we award and celebrate the winner of each category. The live event will be held online on Thursday 26 November at 4pm. To join, all you need to do is register in advance and get a ‘ticket’.

Registration is open now. You’ll then be sent a reminder 24 hours and one hour before the event is due to start. That’s plenty of notice to dress up (or down!) and join us from the office, living room, or wherever, and curl up with a cup of tea, pop open the fizz or pour yourself a Margharita (or a LADArita if you please!). It’s your choice! The winners of each category will be announced during the one-hour livestream event with entertainment along the way.

There’s an opportunity to meet and greet with the sponsors of the LADAs too – a fantastic line up of expertise from across the industry. They all have virtual chat rooms available and you can drop in to their room before and after the event to catch up with the teams on all their latest news. To do this, either register to access a chat room when you’re registering for the main event, or you can decide at the event itself and just join them on the day. It’s that simple. So don’t delay, stick the date in your diary – Thursday 26 November at 4pm – and register now to secure your place at the biggest and best, and only, UK awards ceremony in our industry. Then stock your fridge, order in the snacks and get ready to make it an afternoon to remember.

The LADAs was created six years ago to celebrate and recognise the exceptional talent and innovation in the textile care, laundry and drycleaning industry. And this year we will do the same. However, whilst we may not all be in the same room, we’re still aiming for the same level of va-va-voom… ‘see’ you there. Let’s all celebrate and have a good time!

We’re going virtual

We tried to come up with so many ways to hold a ‘real’ LADAs this year but with the continually changing guidelines there was no way we could get everyone in a room safely, nor enjoyably! So, we’re going virtual for 2020 – following in the footsteps of most of the major award ceremonies held so far during the pandemic. Behind the scenes we’ve been working with specialists in this type of event (they’ve been busy recently!) and we’ve created a live event to celebrate and recognise the best of the best in the textile care, laundry and drycleaning industry for 2020.

We’ll be announcing the winners of each of the award categories during the livestream event interspersed with some live entertainment. If you want to chat to our sponsors they’ll each have their own virtual chat room for you to drop in to join them on screen before and after the event. And the great news is that anyone in the industry can join in – from their office, living room, or wherever they are! It’s ‘bring your own’ though – so curl up with a cup of tea or dress up and pop open the fizz – it’s your choice!
