Pressed In Time franchise launches in the UK
A significant milestone for the Pressed in Time franchise…
…which has its roots in South Africa, was the launch of its flagship store and head office in the United Kingdom.
On Friday 17 February 2023, the store in Chorlton, Manchester, officially opened its doors to the public. The Pressed In Time laundry and drycleaning franchise has a successful formula for new business owners, including state-of-the-art equipment and a hands-on training approach. They began in 2003 with a mission to provide customers with high value, exceptional service and convenience for all their laundry and drycleaning needs.
The Pressed In Time franchise group has grown to over 80 stores in South Africa over the past three years and still growing, making it a prominent laundry and drycleaning franchise group in Africa. This success and existing connections to the UK inspired CEO Kenny MacKinnon and his management team to spread their wings, and a year ago, the process of ‘setting up shop’ on UK shores started.
MacKinnon said: “As long as people need their laundry cleaned, we’ll keep building our footprint and providing easily located stores and a level of service that only a national brand can produce. Our solid expansion results from identifying a real consumer need and satisfying it in a friendly, efficient and professional way for households and commercial clients alike.”
Tabish Aiman, managing director of SPOT by Xplor and TexID, has been involved in the launch. He said: “The Pressed in Time model is one of the most comprehensive we have partnered with and one of only a handful that aims to service the whole country. It was a privilege to be involved in the initial phase, from feasibility to fit out of the first installation. With a customer base of several hundred garment care professionals in the UK and abroad, SPOT by Xplor (Enterprise Software) and TexID (cutting edge laundry and finishing equipment), we were delighted to be heavily involved with the Pressed in Time UK project. My team and I look forward to a long relationship with Pressed in Time.”
