Places available for travelling scholarships scheme

The Worshipful Company of Launderers (WCL) has three places unexpectedly available on the travelling scholarships scheme. The programme is all planned and organised to take place in February 2022 and expenses of up to £600 are available to each candidate.

This annual programme is a great benefit to the industry and provides the ideal opportunity for up and coming members to visit working laundries to develop specialist knowledge and skills. Usually this takes place in Europe but, due to Covid, this scheme has been arranged here in the UK for 14/15/16 February 2022.

Education has always been key for the Worshipful Company of Launderers and in 1963 they formed a charitable and education trust aiming to give scholarships for the ‘further education of people pursuing studies of benefit to the laundry industry’.

If you think there’s someone in your organisation that could benefit from this opportunity for their career development within the laundry and cleaning industry, then please contact John Shonfeld, chair of education at the Worshipful Company of Launderers by emailing John@tibard.co.uk.
