Obituary: Quentin Hughes
Industry colleagues will be saddened to hear of the death of Quentin Hughes at the age of 59.
Hughes was diagnosed with a brain tumour in mid-2023 and fought the illness with his usual determination and good humour.
A former shareholder and sales director of Wearwell UK Ltd, Hughes and his wife, Karen emigrated to the South of France 22 years ago and ran a delightful and hugely popular gite business.
Guy Turvill of Swiss Camplings Laundry told us: “Quentin had a tremendous sense of humour and the warmest of smiles, which enabled him to be hugely successful in sales. We are deeply saddened that he has been taken so early. He’ll really be missed.”
On behalf of the industry, we send our sincere condolences to Karen, who also worked in the industry with OCS, and to Cameron and Freddy.
