K-Bro, Canada’s largest owner and operator of laundry and linen processing facilities there, and with extensive operations in the UK, has announced a dividend of 10 cents CDN per common share of the Corporation for February, to be paid on March 13.

The company operates in eight Canadian cities, and its portfolio includes Fishers, the linen rental, workwear hire and cleanroom garment services provider based across Scotland and the North East of England with facilities in Cupar, Perth, Newcastle, Livingston and Coatbridge. K-Bro also owns Cumbria-based Shortridge, which specialises in high quality laundry services to local independent hospitality businesses, including hotels, B&Bs, self-catering units and restaurants, with plants in Lillyhall, Dumfries and a distribution depot in Darlington. Also under the K-Bro umbrella is Stellar Mayan, a holding company that owns 100 per cent interests in three operating businesses: Synergy, Grosvenor and AeroServe, serving the healthcare and hospitality markets from seven operating facilities located across England.

Meanwhile, the American Cleaning Institute (ACI) has named Dr Larry Berger, recently retired executive vice president and chief technical officer of Ecolab, as the 2026 recipient of their Elva Walker Spillane Distinguished Service Award. The award recognises his many years of outstanding service to ACI and the cleaning products industry. He served on ACI’s board of directors from 2008, including several years on the board’s executive committee, providing strategic counsel and industry insight on critical issues affecting the cleaning product supply chain.

In addition to his corporate leadership, Dr Berger previously served as a long-standing member of the Ecolab Foundation, helping guide funding decisions that support communities around the world. Before joining Ecolab in 2008, he spent 22 years at DuPont, holding senior leadership roles in technology and business development. The award is named in honour of the late Elva Walker Spillane, the former National Purity LLC chief executive who served on the association’s board for 20 years.
