Miele Professional strengthens commercial growth strategy with new appointment
Commercial laundry and dishwashing solutions manufacturer, Miele Professional, has appointed Ela Hedges as business development manager for Great Britain and Ireland.
The appointment forms part of Miele Professional’s strategic expansion plans that aim to strengthen partnerships and drive growth across key commercial sectors. Hedges’ role plays a key part in this growth, enabling enhanced partnerships for Miele customers prioritising sustainability and operational efficiencies.
Hedges brings over three years of experience within Miele, previously serving as multisite retail manager in the domestic sales division.
In her new position, Hedges will focus on expanding Miele’s presence in hospitality, care, leisure and student accommodation markets while supporting existing partnerships across Great Britain and Ireland.
Hedges said: “This role represents an exciting opportunity to leverage Miele’s proven expertise in new markets where quality, hygiene and sustainability are absolutely critical. The hospitality and care sectors particularly are facing increasing operational pressures, and our professional solutions can genuinely help businesses improve efficiency whilst meeting stringent regulatory requirements. I’m keen to work collaboratively to develop tailored approaches that go beyond simply supplying equipment. We want to be strategic partners in their business growth.
“Having worked extensively with high-end clients in our retail division, I’ve seen how Miele’s reputation for reliability and performance translates into real business value. In commercial environments where downtime simply isn’t an option, that reliability becomes even more crucial.”
Hedges will work alongside Miele Professional’s national and business account managers to identify new opportunities and develop targeted strategies across sectors including premium gyms, spas, boutique hospitality and healthcare facilities.
The appointment comes as businesses across these sectors increasingly prioritise sustainable, intelligent solutions that can adapt to evolving operational demands whilst delivering long-term cost savings.
Simon Venni, head of sales GB and Ireland, said: “Ela’s proven track record in building client relationships and her deep understanding of the Miele brand make her an excellent addition to our Professional team. Her strategic approach to business development will be invaluable as we continue expanding our footprint in these key growth sectors.”
