The LADAs can’t happen without the support of our sponsors. Our thanks to our headline sponsor Linen Connect along with Ecolab, Electrolux Professional, Fox Energy, HJ Weir Laundry Engineering Services, Tonrose, Vega UK and Vision.
The whole event was a success from start to finish. The day begins with the industry Golf Day which this year was won by Tim Hobday from Milliken Mats. Around 260 guests then got together for a champagne reception amongst the classic and modern cars on display at Mercedes-Benz World. Those who felt the need for speed took to the F1 simulators to compete against their industry peers – we logged over 150 sessions used.
Following the meal and the awards ceremony was the raffle – now very much a firm fixture on the evening’s agenda. All the monies we raise are donated to Pancreatic Cancer UK – our chosen charity. We’re delighted that we raised over £3,500 on the night with further pledges still to come. Special thanks to Ash & Edward Syed from Dash Linen and John Johnson from JEH Commercial Laundry for their very generous donations taking our total over £5,000 on the night.
We’ll announce the final total in December’s issue of Laundry and Cleaning Today. Our thanks across the industry to everyone that donated prizes. It was very much appreciated.
Look out for a four-page photo special of the whole event in the December issue of Laundry and Cleaning Today. There’s no rest for the team at MEG Events either as they are already planning the LADAs 2020. We’ll keep you up to date with plans in all future issues.
