JEH founder John Johnston inducted into The Worshipful Company of Launderers

JEH founder John Johnston has been inducted as a member of The Worshipful Company of Launderers…

…joining one of the UK’s oldest and most respected professional organisations dedicated to the laundry and textile care industry.

With origins dating back several centuries, The Worshipful Company of Launderers promotes excellence, education and innovation across the sector, bringing together professionals committed to advancing standards within the textile care industry. For Johnston, the appointment reflects his experience in commercial laundry and a continued commitment to investing in both people and technology.

Since taking ownership of JEH 􀈤􀈦 years ago, he has overseen a period of significant transformation. The business has invested extensively in modern, energy-efficient laundry technology, relocated to a purpose-built facility in 2022, and, in 2024, secured its long-term future through the purchase of those premises. Later this year, Johnston will also receive the Freedom of the City of London, one of the country’s oldest civic honours, dating back to 1237.
