Newly launched equipment company support NHS after late night talks

Industrial Laundry Equipment Ltd sprung to action to help provide a cost effective laundry solution at Nottingham City Hospital.

With the hospital needing a solution due to increased demand relat ing to the COVID-19 situation, there were several options on the table. Discussions went late into the night and a provisional plan was hatched. After a confirmation call at 7.30am the next morning Industrial Laundry Equipment Ltd set things into action and managed to deliver three x 54kg capacity machines from their economy range within three hours. Industrial Laundry Equipment Ltd discounted the price to help support the NHS in the fight against this virus.

Richard Brown, managing director said, “With a large amount of stock due in, we decided that profit was less important than doing our bit.” “Maurice Brown, Notts, City Hospital, engineering operations manager, and his estates team did wonders to make the site ready whilst Derek Smith of D Smith Machine Movers jumped into action to collect, deliver and position. “Michael Clegg, the NHS facilities manager, pushing for the decision quickly to save the NHS money and ensure these were delivered before the bank holiday weekend showed great commitment too!” This is a great effort by the team at Industrial Laundry Equipment Ltd who only started trading in January 2020.

Based in the Midlands, but covering the UK and Ireland, they offer a comprehensive range of industry equipment from 10kg – 120kg static and tilting washers in both a high quality premium and an economy range, barrier washers, tumble dryers and towel folders through to bag systems plus full tunnel and ironing lines.

The company is headed up by managing director Richard Brown who worked for Girbau UK Ltd as the head of their industrial division for 12 years, gaining a vast amount of industry experience and expertise in relation to the customer requirements, laundry design and supplying of best solution.

After leaving Girbau in August last year, Brown formed Industrial Laundry Equipment Ltd, a business with significant financial backing which intends to make a positive and noticeable impact on the market.

Debbie Brown, sales and service director at Industrial Laundry Equipment Ltd, who has over four years of experience in laundry service and co-ordination, said: “We have a network of strategically positioned engineering partners and installers which means that we expect to offer some of the best service available. We thoroughly believe that service is key and our reputation will be built upon this.”
