HJ Weir have been awarded ‘Made in Britain’ status, joining the list of firms proud to be manufacturing in the UK
Chepstow-based HJ Weir are proud to announce that they have been recognised as a leading UK manufacturer of laundry equipment through being awarded ‘Made in Britain’ status.
The award was presented to Ross Weir, managing director in December 2019, demonstrating their commitment and input into the UK manufacturing industry.
Made in Britain brings together the British manufacturing community, united with the use of the registered collective mark. The mark is protected and can only be used by members of Made in Britain that meet the criteria set to guarantee the member is a British manufacturer.
Weir commented: “As the third generation of the Weir family and having had our roots in UK manufacturing for decades, it’s an honour to have our commitment to UK manufacturing recognised with this accreditation. It represents our commitment to quality and maintaining our production centre here in the UK.”
Having been awarded approved status, HJ Weir are able to proudly display the mark upon their products, reinforcing their status as an approved UK product, supporting UK engineering and manufacturing industries.
