At “Clean ’19”, Girbau North America (GNA) showcased its comprehensive offering of vended, commercial and industrial laundry equipment, solutions and innovations.

“The show was a huge success and allowed us to connect with buyers who were really interested in seeing our equipment and solutions in operation,” said Mike Floyd, president. “In all segments of the business, we introduced new products and solutions to improve laundry production, efficiency and performance.”

“’Clean is definitely a vended, commercial/industrial and textile care laundry show, so it’s the perfect venue for us to showcase equipment and expertise in these segments,” said Joel Jorgensen, vice president of sales. “There were vended laundry owners transitioning into the commercial business and drycleaners investing in new vended laundries. Our expert staff – versed in all market segments – worked closely with them to help them out and share their knowledge.”

Continental Girbau and Girbau Industrial (GI) commercial and industrial laundry products were on display, including open-pocket E-Series washers and ProDry2 dryers, to high-volume GI ironing, multi-sort folding and stacking systems. Live demonstrations of the new Compact+ 5-in-One, ST2700 Dryer with vacuum loading, FT Maxi Towel Folder, DRF Feeder, and FR+ Folder stole the show, according to Jorgensen.

“The new Compact+ showcased an automatic feeder, feeding clips and vacuum table, in addition to an exclusive, small-piece accumulator on the backside,” said Jorgensen. “We had a full-blown ironing system in one compact area and it ran flawlessly and produced beautiful work. We also demonstrated the perfect feeding and folding of large dry goods, such as sheets and duvets, using the DRF Feeder. Then we quickly converted to small-piece folding using the new FR+ Folder, which stacked and accumulated pillowcases and napkins.”

On the vended side, GNA showcased its comprehensive offering of soft-mount and hard-mount washer-extractors, complementing dryers and Express Heated-Roll Ironer for vended laundries; promoted its Express Laundry Center® turnkey high-speed laundry concept; and unveiled new products and solutions.

“We took the vended laundry industry’s broadest and most diverse soft-mount washer line and expanded it further by introducing the new 130-pound capacity ExpressWash® Washer,” said Jorgensen. “Girbau Group (Girbau), our parent company, introduced this model 40 years ago and it’s been operating in industrial laundries across the globe since then. Now, it’s available for vended laundries and operators are crazy about it.”

Also unveiled was the Express Clean automatic injection system. The exclusive system works seamlessly with Continental vended washers to automatically dispense the right mix of detergent, colour-safe booster and softener into the washer – eliminating the need to manually load them. “It works with all of our vended washers, but is especially beneficial with large-capacity models,” said Jorgensen.
