As part of planned retirement succession Matthias Schopp took position as chief technology officer at Kannegiesser from 5 May 2025.

Engelbert Heinz will continue to support Kannegiesser with his experience.

Heinz has played a key role in shaping the development of Kannegiesser over the past 36 years, many of which he served as managing director.

His commitment and expertise have decisively shaped the company and contributed to the current position of Kannegiesser. Schopp has in-depth expertise in the development and production of innovative systems and machinery.

Following his studies in mechanical engineering and a doctoral degree, he gained valuable experience in executive management and business development in leadership positions.

Over the past few months, he has been able to familiarise himself with the company and the industry through intensive training and close contact with various departments, employees and customers. With his technical expertise and flair for innovation, he will drive forward the technological development of Kannegiesser in a targeted manner, building on the successful work of Heinz.
