Fire at Clean factory in Ross-on-Wye
More than 50 firefighters tackled a large blaze at Clean’s industrial laundry in Herefordshire over the weekend. The cause of the fire is being investigated, according to the BBC local news website report.
Ten fire engines and two aerial ladders were among appliances sent out to respond to the call, which has destroyed the premises but luckily there were no injuries reported.
Incident commander Gareth Clarke said the premises was made mainly of sandwich panels which lose their structure and walls when hot, adding “the building will probably have to come down before people can go in there again.”
