Electrolux appoints GM role for UK & Ireland
Electrolux has promoted Luke Harding to the role of general manager UK and Ireland.
Harding comes into the role with a thorough understanding of the Electrolux UK & Ireland business having held high profile positions since joining in 2016. With more than twenty years of commercial experience spanning sales, marketing and operations roles across a variety of sectors, Harding has a proven track record of success with global brands.
Harding says: “I’m delighted to be taking on responsibility for Electrolux UK & Ireland during such an important time for our company. Not only am I committed to a strategy of continued investment in the AEG and Zanussi brands to further accelerate the growth they have seen in recent years, but I also look forward to continuing our commitment to the Better Living Programme we implemented in 2019. As a leader in home appliances, Electrolux is perfectly positioned to assist consumers in living a more sustainable lifestyle and our innovative technology and product solutions, along with our brand and corporate partnerships, aim to answer that need.”
Harding succeeds Peter Spencer who has been promoted into a vice president role within the European business. Spencer says: “Luke’s stellar contribution to the commercial team within the Electrolux UK and Ireland business made him the perfect candidate to take on the general manager role. He will play a pivotal part in building AEG and Zanussi’s strong growth record, increasing our market share and contributing to Electrolux’s upwards trajectory. With the addition of our Better Living Programme, I’m excited to see how the organisation’s commitment to sustainability in the UK and Ireland is shaped under Luke’s visionary direction.”
