Down and out?

Depressing headline don’t you think! Well, we certainly don’t mean it to be. We’re talking about your name – and is it down? and do you want to get it out there? for the LADAs 2022 – the Laundry and Drycleaning Awards – the industry’s annual award ceremony celebrating the very best people and businesses in the textile care industry. It takes place at a stunning event on Thursday 3 November at Mercedes-Benz World in Surrey.

So, is your name down on the list, as in the guest list? If it isn’t then don’t delay too much longer. We’ll be announcing all the award category finalists in next month’s issue and once that’s published places at the event fill up quickly.

Organiser Mark Gleed says, “Our event last year was very popular and we had lots of early interest so places did book up quickly – particularly the overnight accommodation. We do have to cut off numbers at a certain point to firm up practical things like layouts and catering. We never want to turn down anyone who wants to come, but if they leave it too late then we might have to.

“The event is such a firm fixture on the industry’s annual calendar now and each year the LADAs gets bigger and bigger. We always say to people at this stage in the planning that if they know they definitely want to attend, and perhaps bring a table full of colleagues or industry contacts, then book it now, before it’s too late.”

In terms of getting your name out there… the LADAs couldn’t happen without the support and involvement from our sponsors. If your business is looking for new opportunities and routes to get your name in front of key industry players and business decision makers, then talk to MEG Events about the sponsorship opportunities still available for the LADAs 2022.

As well as in the room on the awards night itself, sponsorship means your name also gets in front of the wider Laundry & Cleaning Today readers online, on socials and in the publication itself in the run up to the event. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for industry businesses,” says Gleed, “and many of our sponsors return year after year. We’re very grateful for their support and we know that one of the reasons the event has been such a success over the years is because we have some fantastic industry names on board.”
