Community drycleaners announce give back
Blankson’s Dry Cleaners achieve great work for the community
October’s Black History Month saw thirty Basingstoke community achievers celebrated for their work, including Jojo Blankson and Effie Grant who run Blankson’s Dry Cleaners based in the Hampshire town.
With over 35 years combined experience they are both passionate about the empowerment of people and communities.
In celebration of their Community Achievers Awards, they offered NHS and essential workers an amount of free laundry services for November as a thank you. Grant explained: “We are essential workers too, so we understand the long days and nights poured in to keep our people and community going. The reward is always that smile, and joy given to another person, that’s enough and what our society needs more of today.”
You can read more about Blankson’s community work on their website. The following words have been taken from their ‘Surviving COVID’
“We all know too well that COVID19 has changed our lives and the way we live for good.
In the face of adversity we flourish as a community. Here at Blankson’s we know we have done all we can to play our part and more importantly keep our team and customers safe.”
