Climate Change Agreement – scheme now open for new entrants
Climate change agreement
The Climate Change Agreement (CCA) scheme is now open for new entrants and the deadline has been extended to 30 October 2020. The TSA commented that “We as an industry led the way in lobbying for this extension, thank you to everyone who assisted in this process.”
In a news release the TSA said that all their CCA members cumulatively will enjoy approximately £8.5m in CCL discount whilst those who fail the target will buy-out carbon for approximately £280,000. The value proposition is strong and this has been a great incentive for many of their CCA members to showcase some of the existing measures and keep getting good at implementing newer ways to achieve energy efficiency. Additionally, TSA members receive a 50 per cent discount on your Climate Change Agreement.
Please see the table below as a summary of the commercial benefit to join the scheme.
