CLEAN Linen Services rewarded for maintaining high health and safety standards

Leading independent laundry supplier CLEAN Linen Services has received two prestigious awards for maintaining high standards in health and safety.

The company was named a Gold Merit Award winner at the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards 2019 at ExCeL London on 18 June 2019, just a few days after receiving Alcumus SafeContractor accreditation.

CLEAN has a strong track record in health and safety across its seven operational laundry sites and wins the RoSPA Gold Merit Award for a seventh consecutive year.

The prestigious annual scheme, run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), recognises organisations that can demonstrate well-developed occupational health and safety management systems, a culture that is aware of and able to identify potential hazards, outstanding control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss.

Alcumus SafeContractor is a leading third-party accreditation scheme which recognises extremely rigorous standards in health and safety management among contractors. CLEAN has been accredited since 2013.

Matt De La Bertauche, Head of Group Health, Safety and Environment at CLEAN said: “CLEAN is committed to providing safe environments for our 1,400 members of staff to work in and we ensure that rigorous safety checks and effective procedures are implemented across all seven of our sites.

“To receive RoSPA’s gold standard for a seventh consecutive year and SafeContractor accreditation for a sixth consecutive year is a major achievement and highlight’s CLEAN’s solid track record in safety.”

Employing more than 1,400 people across England, CLEAN supplies textile rental and laundry services to the hospitality sector, delivering upwards of five million linen items to its customers each week. CLEAN’s diverse customer base includes major hospitality players such as Harbour Hotel Group, Whitbread PLC, Edwardian Hotels London, The Arora Group, Park Plaza, and Hilton.
