Christeyns participates in fifth Bradford Manufacturing Weeks

Bradford based chemicals manufacturer Christeyns joins local and regional manufacturers for the fifth Bradford Manufacturing Weeks event aimed at introducing students to the world of manufacturing.

Launched by Bradford Chamber of Commerce and backed by the Bradford Economic Partnership, Bradford Manufacturing Weeks brings manufacturers, schools and young people together to showcase the different opportunities that a manufacturing career can bring. The 2022 programme ran from 3-14 October and during this time Christeyns were involved in a range of activities including both apprentice and manufacturing focused panels where students can ask questions, as well as a Women in Manufacturing event.

The Christeyns UK headquarters in Bradford offers tours to local schools and students participated in a designated ‘The Apprentice’ task day where they were asked to create a washing up liquid. Over the course of the past four years the initiative has supported over 15,000 young people aged 14-18 across the Bradford region to gain access to the manufacturing sector. This year 36 companies were involved, offering various activities to students from 40 schools and colleges.

Each year, as part of the Bradford Manufacturing Weeks event, Christeyns invite students from local schools to tour their site and learn more about the world of manufacturing
