Cherry Tree picks up Lapauw UK and Ireland distribution rights

Cherry Tree Machines, the UK industrial laundry equipment manufacturer, has agreed terms with Lapauw NV to distribute Lapauw equipment, including ironing lines, tunnel finishers, trolley washers, logistic systems (bag systems, conveyors) etc.

The agreement also covers Lapauw spare parts and engineering. “This deal will raise awareness of the Lapauw brands with the commitment to excellence that both Cherry Tree and Lapauw will offer to end users,” says Bob Mills, CEO at Cherry Tree Machines Ltd.

Steven Renders, CEO of Lapauw commented on the deal: “We are very excited to announce this agreement with Cherry Tree. Discussions with Paul and Bob have been very pleasant. It is clear that both of our companies share the same goal of supplying high quality laundry solutions to our customers, accompanied with an excellent technical service support leading to the lowest possible total cost of ownership.”

Cherry Tree has further strengthened their team employing Nick Mitchell, as technical/project manager with over 30 years’ experience.

He will oversee any new equipment enquiries and new builds working with Wim Demeyer, Lapauw sales network manager. Cherry Tree has also partnered with Shane Weir who has 28 years of engineering experience in the industrial laundry industry. This will help bring together a wealth of experience across all makes of industrial laundry equipment.

The Cherry Tree site at Blackburn, Lancashire hosts service support staff and will appoint additional fully experienced engineers covering all aspects of industrial laundry needs. Mills said: “The UK laundry industry can now expect total support 24/7 to all Cherry Tree and Lapauw products within 12 working hour response to service call outs with spare parts off the shelf in 90 per cent of all cases.”

Cherry Tree also offers a selection of preventative maintenance packages to suit most budgets including a free of charge visit to premises to price a package. Mills adds: “The all-new ‘Cherry Tree First’ offer to the industrial laundry industry and independents includes lower hourly rates, on-time call out, discounted parts provided you commit to call us first for your service needs.
