Blanc founder says take action now for a more sustainable future
Ludovic Blanc, CEO and founder of BLANC, the natural artisan cleaners, sent a powerful message out by video on LinkedIn in April mid-lockdown.
His was a message of action to “everyone who has in its power to make a change to steer us in the right direction.”
His statement was loud and clear about the decisions we can make now that will impact for a better future. And that we should use this time to “reflect on the decisions you can make when you come out of this.”
Blanc said: “Today is the day when behaviours have to change. When sustainability should no longer be reserved for ethical funds, charities and entrepreneurial adventurers.”
Blanc asks that we should “use this time to reflect on the decisions you can make when you come out of this. To help us to move the needle collectively towards a better world. Make the commitments now. Use the fear you have today to boost your resolve and push through the usual barriers and act upon it.”
Sustainability is at the heart of everything they do at BLANC and they’ll be using this time to see how they can do even more to deliver on their ethical brand values.
Blanc proposed: “What can you do in your business to implement sustainability, to remove waste, to reduce energy consumption, to replace toxic products, and buy more sustainable ones, to treat people better, and relocalise production?
As an immediate action he suggests: “Put 15 minutes in your diary each week to think about these decisions and the progress you’re making on them. Tell the world about it. Transform today’s crisis into an opportunity.”
“I am very optimistic that if we harness the collective willpower of each and every one of us, we can build a better world. You can do it. We can do it together. Be brave. It starts today.”
