Aquatherm appoints operations director

Laundry water and energy specialist Aquatherm announces the appointment of Byron Windt to the role of operations director. Born and brought up in South Africa, Windt obtained an engineering degree from Durban University and gained several years’ experience in the engineering sector before permanently moving to England.

He joins Aquatherm at a time when there is huge pressure in the laundry industry to reduce consumption of water and energy while costs soar to unprecedented levels.

According to Windt: “I see many and varied engineering challenges presented by the industry and look forward to making a contribution and building on the 40 years history and development that Aquatherm has behind it.”

Founder and managing director Mike Edwards is particularly pleased to welcome Windt into the company, not only as his future successor but also as the father of three of his eight grandchildren, to continue the family involvement in the industry started by father Len Edwards 70 years earlier.
