AGS Limited, one of the most trusted names in the industry, has announced a significant milestone in its family run history.

After more than 26 years leading the business together, Paul and Mary Simons are retiring from their day to day roles. Their son, Greg Simons, and daughter-in-law, Lindsay Simons, will now take the reins and guide AGS into its next chapter.

Founded on family values, technical expertise, and a deep commitment to customer service, AGS has been shaped profoundly by Paul and Mary’s leadership. Since creating the business in 2000, they have become known for their honesty, reliability, and hands on approach; qualities that have earned AGS a loyal customer base throughout London, the Home Counties, the wider UK, and internationally.

In 1982 Paul and Mary opened their first launderette which grew into 26 premises, giving them a unique understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by laundry owners. Their long standing partnership with Electrolux Professional UK has been central to AGS’s success, with the company proudly supplying only Electrolux machinery and building strong, enduring relationships with the Electrolux team.

They also supply Rampi detergents, Trevil finishing equipment and ATI boilers and support customers with repairs and technical issues, servicing and equipment maintenance, spares and detergents across the UK and beyond.

As they step back from the forefront of the business, Paul and Mary will continue to offer support and guidance from behind the scenes while embracing more time for personal projects, seeing their grandchildren and travelling.

The couple issued a joint statement: “Leading AGS has been one of the greatest privileges of our lives. We are deeply grateful to our customers, our dedicated staff, and trusted suppliers for their loyalty, support, and friendship shown to us over so many years.

“We are incredibly proud to see Greg take the helm. He has been an integral part of AGS’s growth and reputation. Having worked alongside us from the beginning, he has developed a depth of knowledge; from the operational realities of running launderettes to the most complex technical challenges in commercial laundry equipment. His instinctive understanding of laundry machinery, his commitment to doing things properly, and his genuine care for customers have helped us shape AGS into what it is today.

“Greg has earned the respect of colleagues, suppliers, and customers alike, and we know he will lead the business with the same integrity and passion that has guided us for so many years. Their plans include:

• Modernising operations to further improve efficiency and customer experience. • Strengthening long standing supplier relationships, including Electrolux Professional, Rampi detergents, Trevil and ATI.
• Refreshing the AGS website and digital presence.
• But most importantly, continuing to provide the honest advice, technical expertise, and the personal service AGS is known for.
