Kings Laundry is the largest supplier of laundry services to the hospitality sector in Ireland and the extra staff will take employee numbers at the company to over 550. The company also announced it will add 80 seasonal jobs for this summer in both Cork and Dublin.

The minister for housing, planning and local government, Simon Coveney said, “The Cork facility is very impressive, particularly in relation to the advances in its energy efficiencies and minimising its environmental impact. It’s also great news on the jobs front with the addition of 100 new positions in Cork.”

He added, “It’s a very positive reflection of the hospitality sector, with the IHF noting increases in both overseas and domestic business. The outlook for this year is for continued strong growth and the recent announcements at Cork Airport will help drive tourism in the region.”
